Your Waterloo to Waterloo Cycle Challenge will take place over 4 days and see you cycling 220 miles through 3 countries.  You will start at Waterloo in London and finish at the famous and iconic Lion's Mound on the battlefield of Waterloo site in Belgium.

Your challenge begins early on Thursday morning where you will meet the rest of your group and navigate your way through England's capital.  You will head out via the Elephant and Castle and then onto Old Kent Road before heading to Bexley Heath and Dartford.  Now you head out through Greenwich Park and via Rochester out on the A2 towards Sittingbourne.  At Faversham, you will turn off the main roads onto fairly quiet roads to Dover.  You then cross by ferry from Dover to Calais and cycle on a short distance to your hotel in Calais.

Your second day sees you cycle on much quieter French roads with little traffic and beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.  You head East towards Looberghe and Wormhout before crossing into Belgium towards Poperinge and onto the city of Ypres, famous for its stratgegic position in World War 1 and the many battles that took place in and around the city.  You now complete the day by cycling to your hotel in the south of Kortrijk, near to the Kennedy Wood.

Your final day's cycling takes you along the banks of the river Schelde and then onto small quiet roads with great cycle paths. You continue east towards Geraardsbergen, on the border of Flanders (Flemish speaking)and Wallloon (French speaking) Belgium.  Your route continues through delightful small villages and towns such as Kester, Pepingen and Halle before finally cycling south of the town of Waterloo to reach your finish at the iconic Lion's Mound on the battlefield of Waterloo.  Here you can celebrate in style with a glass of bubbly before walking to the top of the mound for a group photograph.  You now have a short couple of miles cycle to your hotel for the evening.

You will return home the following day with some well earned comfort on the Eurostar from Brussels.
