Training HomePre-Expedition TrainingWe run superb tailored training weekends for all charity treks and cycle challenges. Location: The training takes place in the heart of Snowdonia National Park in the mountains of North Wales. Programme: The Friday evening will be a welcome evening with a meal and drinks and a small silde show. Saturday morning will look at equipment and then set off up Snowdon or cycling around Snowdonia National Park. The route chosen will depend upon the weather conditions at the time and the trek / cycle ride that the group are undertaking overseas. On Sunday, we will leave the hostel after breakfast, taking our packed lunches and for those on the trekking challenge weekends, trek around the Ogwen valley at the base of Tryfan looking at aspects of technical trekking, again dependent upon weather and the chosen trek for the group. For those who book on the cycle training weekend, we will leave the hostel after breakfast, taking our packed lunches, drive to Llandegla Forest and then use one of their off road circuits. There will be plenty of time for questions throughout the weekend about the destination countries, trekking, cycling, camping tips, high altitude, mid altitude and medical advice and any other issues that the group wish to raise. Fitness: These weekends will not automatically make you fit for your expedition challenge but will give you an idea of what is required. Dates and Costs: Go To Dates & Costs for more information or straight to the Booking page. "I would thoroughly recommend that anyone intending on going on expedition should attend an Expedition Wise Training weekend, in fact, I would question how anyone could set off well prepared without doing so. Thanks for a fantastic weekend." Lauren Lloyd
